Founded in 1982 in Norristown, Pennsylvania by Barry Schwartz, Camber USA is renowned for making the world’s most durable and comfortable hoodies (at least in our opinion). Originally designed as workwear, Camber hoodies gained a reputation in the streetwear world in the ‘90s for their quality and distinctive shape, with the likes of BAPE using them early on.
Despite their growing popularity, Camber has maintained a humble approach, avoiding any advertising and instead choosing to focus solely on production. In the words of Barry “it is all about making the product. You know that phrase ‘build it and they will come.’ ”
Each hoodie is built to last and, from our own experience, they only improve with age. Their iconic Cross-Knit sweats are cut from a beefy 12oz jersey, the hooded sweatshirts feature body side panels, brass eyelets and the instantly recognisable wide waistband and cuffs.
Sadly Barry passed away at the end of last year but his legacy still lives on. A Camber sweat is more than just clothing—it’s a testament to the power of quality, longevity, and tradition in American manufacturing.
